My Gap – My Beauty
What is one of the first things that people notice about you when they first meet you? Yup, your smile – your teeth.
I have a gap between my teeth and I used to HATE it, but not anymore. It has taken me to reach 40 years of age to appreciate and respect the beauty in it. Many won’t agree that there is beauty in it, but who gives a damn about what they think anyway. This is about my love affair with me.
I have an imperfectly perfect smile that is very unique to me. I own my beauty. It is not like anyone else’s. Nothing about my beauty is a mistake. My God put love into creating my beauty and I don’t second guess his work of art.
As a side-note, I have had many people gravitate towards me after they see me smile. I once had a lady from Nigeria give me the warmest embrace because she said that my gap was good luck and that it would bring about riches. She said that she wanted to hug me so that my good fortune would rub off on her.
I share this to say Love You As YOU Are. You are, have been and will always be beautiful.
