We Kicked Eczema’s Butt
When my daughter was around 5-6 years old she experienced hair loss due to eczema. The eczema caused her scalp to become dry, itchy and flaky, which lead to her losing her hair from pulling and scratching. I tried all kinds of natural ingredients, but I later learned that one of the natural ingredients that I was using was the culprit.
We took her to see her pediatrician. She recommended an allergy test. The allergy test revealed an allergy to tree-nuts and that her exposure to them was causing the flare-ups. She also stated that dairy products and sugar exacerbated the flare-ups. She told us to eliminate all nuts from her diet and from the products that we used on her skin and to reduce her sugar and dairy intake. Eliminating the nuts from her diet wasn’t a problem since we didn’t eat nuts due to my own allergy to tree-nuts. The problem was in our products. We had to eliminate SHEA BUTTER and SWEET ALMOND OIL.
We replaced all of her skin and hair care products with nut-free products. We no longer have issues with eczema flare-ups and she along with her twin sister love their hair.
